My dream guitar
NO WAY, I could sell that. NOT Stephen Stills.
This whole thing is fake. It's good for a laugh though.
For What it's Worth: $85,000 is what it's worth.
to expenssive for a guitar ,is just a guitar,
Any other time Rick would call in his autograph specialist. Why not this time with how much money is at stake?
I don't like the kid, shady.
Landon really likes himself
Today, that guitar is worth TWICE what Rick paid… and is on display at Ricks pawnshop.
I would never announce a price unless it was WAY ABOVE what I really wanted. Slick Rick always calls an expert to lowball the price. At least Jessie was honest about this one.
For what it's worth …. ugh $85,000 π
isnt this the same guy that came with the master museum?
Great show
Danny patsy πππππ
Great story……thankyou……..ππ…….FWIW I just paid Β£287…..yes Β£287…..for a very good J200 copy……I love these big jumbo acoustics……Have a nice day y'all…….
Seller needs to loosen up and not be such a stiff
They both walked off and left a hundred thousand dollar guitar sitting on the counter lol
Yep
Rick is such a lowballer.
I just love this show I watched it
So many times β² ok ππππͺβπ₯π―π°π₯π΅π·π΅π·π΅π·
Dumbazz….
Jesse is the man. BUT NEVER sell anything of real value in a frigging pawn shop! Auction it off to the rich musician fan.
Same dude that backed out at the last second on a $50k guitar that he agreed to sell and was offered his full asking price ….. yet he buys and sells guitars as a hobby. I am sure some of it was staged, but here he is again (actually looks sooner than the other Gibson that he backed out on).
I want one of these Guitars so bad but, I just can't afford the high price. I think it's over $5,000.000? But I know Epiphone came out with
a fantastic version of this Iconic Guitar. It looks and sounds like the real deal and its like $1,800.000!
Didn't Mo Gedney own that Guitar? George Harrison owned one that looked like this one. He played it on both the The "Let It Be" album and The "Abbey Road" album.
He used it on "Here Comes the Sun"π. John (Lennon) also used it on the "Let it Be" Album and Documentary back in 1969. β€πΆπΌββπΆπΌββπΆπΌββπΆπΌββπ
110K for that actually seems cheap, even when the show was filmed.
The guys at that pawn shop were always lowballing people
Why didnβt they just call Stephen Stills? Ask him to confirm it he went up for auction in 2014 in Guernsey.
Beautiful guitar for its age and wear and tear.
Sounded so full and sparkly even over YouTube. Every bit as good as a full size dreadnought.
sorry to see him get his mites on it
I know people crap on Rick for Lowballing people for items, but this video is a good example of how heβs pricing things.
Jesse valued the guitar alone being worth between $75,000-$90,000 and Stephen Stills adding between $20,000-$30,000. So the range weβre looking at is $95,000-$120,000. Rick knows that expecting best case scenario with every purchase is both unrealistic and dangerous for business, so by default, heβs going to expect to get the lowest appraisal value on the guitar, which would be $95,000. Offering $85,000 in cash is actually a very reasonable price.
As he always says, selling items requires spending money (Auctions, advertising, paying commission), so he has to put some margin into his offer, just in case it takes longer to sell.
Sure, when he sells something for 10x what he paid, it looks like he absolutely got away with highway robbery, but we often donβt see where Rick takes a big loss on an item because it grossly undersold.
Wonder how much he paid for it in the auction
Man paid $ 1,200 and now asks for $ 110,000…
Guitars like this one are selling in $ 6,000 to $ 25,000 range. Add another $ 20,000 for being Steven's and you can come up to around $ 50,000 max.
This customer was the same guy who turned down a 50,000 cash deal with a Gibson Master Museum Acoustic Guitar. Looks staged !!!
This guy was robbed.
