I miss those old school arcades
20 years ago, I was lucky to find a Vectrex at a thrift store for only $25! Bare-bones: no controller, no games, no overlay for Mine Storm, but in great condition. Then a few weeks later I got 20 game carts (plus 20 overlays and manuals) with TWO mint controllers for the cost of shipping. Still have it and its the crown jewel of my video game collection. Without even games or accessories, a Vectrex now goes for over $1,000 these days! Hanging onto mine!

It wasn't just the music that was great in the late 70s and 80s it was computer games, it was such a big industry every shop wanted their piece of the pie, Boots the Chemist even sold video games and the games were fun to play, i do not like collectors who want them boxed and pristine, these games were meant to be played so boxed unboxed it does not matter, it is nice to have boxes and instructions but the true video game players don't care.
The Odyssey console things like this here in the UK you cant get rid of he would be lucky to get £5, i have had these and just bin them, i have lots of old consoles they are fun to play but over the years due to finances i have had to sell some, i used to have 650 Sega Megadrive games all boxed with instructions but sold them off when they were not worth much but my biggest regret was selling a Commodore 128 business computer with monitor and twin built in disk drives in 1998, i bought it for £15 and sold it for the same.
