  1. That xry scanner device is over 150k, absolutely fun to have it.. i was treasure hunting in iran and people's bring many items but i was unable to identify them from fake and real, if i had that was so easy to identify fake one from real

  2. People often fail to realize Byzantine empire was actually stronger than Roman empire. They had much larger economy and lasted longer, therefore everywhere is full of Byzantine stuff. Go to Turkey and dig at a riverbed it is likely you would find something Byzantine. Coins, building remains, tools etc. I have two bronze candle holders that its legs are shaped like dragon feet, at least 1500 years old, really gorgeous stuff. But they worth like 500-1000 bucks, because they are so common. So I still use them as candle holders lol..

  3. These videos in a way tell viewers not to go to the pawn shop unless you're really need the money, like now!! if you can wait a little, maybe worth checking out for more focused auctions who might attract the relevant market of collectors, who also appreciate not just the current market value of the items, but also their potential/ future value (particularly for a number of holy grail items) Also some of the items shown are so rare and significant to history, sellers should consider some of the museums, as they might not even own one to exhibit, so it's possible they also be interested in bidding too. I know for some of these items I definitely would be very happy to have sold to an museum for a slightly lower price than a higher price to a private collector, knowing the museum will eventually put it for public exhibition.

  4. byzantine empire did not exist. that was the roman empire. western euros invented the idea of byzantium in the colonial era to glorify themselves and lie about real roman history

  5. The small Roman 'lamp' and others like it were not used to light up rooms. The were the first air fresheners! The oils they used were often scented with a variety of plant and floral essences. As Phineas points out, it is in the shape of a Swan which has erotic connotations. What better to have at your bedside with some lovely scented oil to create a romantic mood!
