I would have told the "punk" (who said that Rick thought he was a "punk dude") to get out of my shop and never come back again. They're way too nice! I used to "hock" my cymbals at pawn shops in the North Side of Pittsburgh back in the 1960s, and I can tell you that those guys would have shot you for talking like that!

Those tune up testers are going for about $3000 bucks now. As a teenager with a vintage car, I would’ve LOVED to get one of those for a few hundred bucks.

So when i looked up on Google to see what a "civet" is for an animal, i was confused, he said they look like a monkey 🐒, but when i looked up their names, what i saw, was not monkey, it looked like it belongs in the same family with Ferrets, Minks, or Weasels, but absolutely & definitely, not monkey look-alikes.
I don't believe anybody who "authenticates" a signature on a flat surface by comparing it with a signature on a round surface, and never mentions that fact. YOU try it. Be in a hurry; a celeb is with the autograph seeker for only seconds. This has to be real. No question.
I'll be honest, the Tune Up machine is easily worth way more than a couple hundred dollars. It's the fact that it still exists AND WORKs, it's basically a museum piece.
Rule #1: Never name a number first. The person who names a number first always loses.
It blows my mind how many people are shocked and appalled that a pawn shop tries to lowball people. It's… literally what they do.
